I am just loving this design! The blue and white has such a classic look to it!
This original gold Florentine box was so sad looking when I picked her up. After a good scrubbing I primed her just to be sure the built in design wouldn’t show through. I then painted her in Heirloom Traditions Paint Cashmere, a pretty white. I added French Ceramics 2 from Re-Design with Prima to the drawer fronts, sides and top. I love the distressed look of the flowers.
I lightly distressed the box to allow some of the original Florentine to come through. After removing the original wood knobs I decided to add pearls for knobs. I also painted the feet in a pearl paint to match.
The interior was re-lined in royal blue. Such a classic beauty feel.
