My Very 1st Blog!? Get Ready for Real Honesty!

Do you ever feel like sometimes you or your business are stuck in a rut? I've gone through a real "down" period the last month of just questioning where I want to take my business. I even debating just hanging it all up. I spent the entire year of 2020 working on custom orders. While custom orders are always wonderful and guaranteed money (Thank you to my amazing clients) I also struggled because I wasn't always able to be creative how I want to be, what I envisioned, and to have the time to just do and create what I wanted to aside from those pieces. As an artist that's our life! To create ART!

After really taking the time to think and consulting with my husband, a fellow artist and mentor, and even just having conversations with myself I felt like it was time to make a decision: Either step away or push yourself! So...here we go!!

It's Time to Move Forward!

I've decided to not just focus on the pieces I can create but to share how I do them with you, my followers and supporters! After almost 4 years of painting I feel like I am finally in a place where I feel confident enough to share my techniques with you. Will there be those who don't always agree with my methods? Of course! Will there be those who do it completely different? Of course! The techniques I use and have used were both self taught and taught by others. I've learned many things from fellow artists and I want to pass those skills on to you. Do I always follow everyone else's methods and techniques? Nope! That's part of being unique and growing. I can guarantee you most artists are not painting the same way they did when they first started. That's part of growing and learning and I hope to take you on my journey as I grow and learn on the other side of my business now.

Why yes there is! I also created a YouTube Channel . You can view all the videos I have made thus far and plan to make as we go! Keep in mind I am very new to all of this! I'm learning as I go but I want to be able to bring you the best advice, tutorials and information I can. I'm hoping to bring you both a video and a blog post at least once a week!
